Pomona, CA—Fair food alert! There is a delicious option rather than the typical fair food. Eddie’s Cucina at the Marketplace, powered by Spaghetti Eddie's Cucina Italiana and its sibling restaurant, Eddie’s Italian Eatery, has some tasty, and even some healthier, alternative options at this year’s Los Angeles County Fair.
Eddie’s is located inside the Wine, Spirits and Beer Marketplace and offers fresh pasta, paninis, pizza, small plate appetizers and desserts to fair goers during operating hours.
Eddie’s Cucina will amaze the taste buds of all by offering off the chart menu items such as gourmet pizzas, appetizers including Stuffed Mushrooms and Garlic Puffs, Wine Country Pasta such as Penne and Spinach Pesto, grilled Paninis, and house made desserts. Charcuterie meat and cheese plates are also served to complement the wine experience.
The specialty menu is a fusion of two local “Eddie’s” restaurants -- Spaghetti Eddie’s Cucina Italiana located on Grand Avenue in Glendora, and Eddie’s Italian Eatery located on Foothill and Towne in Claremont. The operating restaurant group also owns Tutti Mangia Italian Grill, an Italian Steakhouse in the Claremont Village.
This year’s fair theme is Route 66 and Eddie’s “Route 66 Special” includes a large piece of garlic bread topped with melted mozzarella and pepperoni, plus a 16 oz. soft drink for $6.60. Going along with the Route 66 theme, Eddie’s is hosting a Route 66 raffle, which someone can win free pizza for an entire year from Spaghetti Eddie’s, a $1,250 value, along with three other prizes.
Guests can enter when they dine at Eddie’s during the fair. Second prize wins 8 pizzas, third wins 4 pizzas and fourth wins 2 pizzas to Spaghetti Eddie’s. The winner will be drawn the week after the fair.
With this much culinary experience, the team behind Eddie’s Cucina is offering a memorable “food fair” experience for its guests. And this year, some new items will be available, including a Meatball & Mozzarella Sub, Pesto-Parmesan Puffs and La Bomba, a 9” Artisan pizza topped with pepperoni, ham, pineapple and sliced fresh Jalapenos. The menu also includes a handful of Gluten-Free items.
So, before you run to any other food line at this year’s fair, take a stroll over to the Marketplace and let the experts at Eddie’s open your eyes to the new meaning of “fair food.”
Spaghetti Eddie's Cucina Italiana celebrates 33 years in business this year. The establishment has built quite a reputation in the city of Glendora and neighboring communities through involvement with the Glendora Education Foundation and local law enforcement and the annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser, among many others.
This year’s L.A. County Fair starts runs from August 31 to September 23 at the Fairplex in Pomona, California. The Marketplace is located adjacent to the Carnival and Home & Garden areas.
